Choosing a Furnace Contractor
For most of us, our homes are our single most valuable asset. When we need a new roof, bathroom, or heating and cooling system how can we be sure that we are getting the best value and that we will be satisfied when the work is finished? Most of us ask workmates or family and friends for their experiences and recommendations. Here are some other suggestions:
- Is the contractor licensed?
- Do they have insurance?
- Do they have references you can call?
When talking to others who have used the company ask:
- Was the work finished in a timely manner?
- Did they clean up after themselves?
- Was the work finished for the agreed upon amount?
There are two other ways to make sure you have the right contractor: Better Business Bureau and Angie’s List. These two companies are the watchdogs of service contractors and compile information from consumers just like you to choose companies that will get their top rankings.
